One person was killed late Thursday morning after their SUV struck a tree and caught fire in Brevard County.

The deadly single-vehicle crash occurred at around 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, near the intersection of N Wickham Road and Forest Lake Avenue, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

A 2024 Ford Escape was traveling westbound on N Wickham Road, west of the Forest Lake Avenue intersection, when the driver lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons.
