The Orlando Urban Film Festival will celebrate Afrofuturism this week with the screening of multiple films to kick off Black History Month.
The event, which focuses on Afrofuturism Through The Film Lens, takes place through Saturday evening at the CMX Cinemas Plaza Cafe 12 Theatre, located at 155 S Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando.
The festival will showcase documentary films on Friday evening from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and short films on Saturday morning and afternoon.
In addition to film screenings, the festival features a series of workshops and panels that focus on a variety of topics within the Black community.
