Local students from seven counties across Central Florida will compete this weekend for a chance to be crowned Orlando Regional Spelling Bee champion and move on to nationals.
The Orlando City Soccer Club will host the the Orlando Regional Spelling Bee on Saturday, February 5 at Exploria Stadium, located at 655 W Church Street.
According to a press release, the club will provide the opportunity for the champion of the regional competition to advance to the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
Each student that participates in their school bees will have a chance to advance to district bees.
The district bees take place fully online, utilizing SNSB’s Online Testing Platform, unless otherwise communicated to Orlando City Soccer Club by each school district.
Those who win their schools district bees advance to the regional competition held next week.
The Scripps’ National Spelling Bee will take place later this year in June near Washington, D.C.
