Barbarella is closing its downtown Orlando location at the end of this month.
Located at 70 N Orange Avenue, the bar and dance club will move from its current location at the end of February, according to an announcement through social media.
“We have been playing 80’s New Wave since 1984 and will continue to do so at our new spot, a short 13 minute drive from our present location,” reads a post on the bar’s Facebook page.
According to the post, the business will close its doors at the end of the month.
“We will be here at least until the end of February. Thanks to all of you who have supported us during our 37 year history.”
Barbarella joins a slate of businesses opening and closing their doors all throughout the downtown district.
In May, a new arcade-themed bar has plans to open at the former location of Joysticks, which shuttered its doors amidst the pandemic in 2020 after a multi-year run.
