20-year-old Ocoee man arrested for vehicular homicide of two sisters, three young children

A 20-year-old Ocoee man has been arrested in connection with a 2021 traffic accident that claimed the life of two sisters and their three young children.

According to a press release from the Florida Highway Patrol, FHP traffic homicide investigators arrested 20-year-old Osbaldo Patina Vazquez on Tuesday morning. Vasquez is being charged with five counts of vehicular homicide.

The arrest and charges come after nearly a year-long investigation into the fatal crash, which took place at Claracona Ocoee Road and Gaymar Drive on March 11, 2021.

The two sisters, who were later identified as ages 25 and 30, and their three children ranging in age from 6 months to 5 years old, were all killed in the accident.

Vasquez was booked into the Orange County Jail with no bond set.
