The city of Winter Park is advising residents that certain roads will be closed during Sunday’s St. Patrick’s Day parade.
The city will host the 43rd installment of its St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, March 6, at 2 p.m., with road closures in effect from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The parade will begin at Webster Avenue and proceed south down Park Avenue to Lyman Avenue. Al Denecour will serve as Grand Marshal and more than 60 units will participate.
Park Avenue between Webster and Comstock avenues, Webster Avenue between New York and Park avenues, and New York Avenue between Canton and Webster avenues will all be closed during the parade.
According to a press release from the city, side streets will be closed at the Park Avenue intersections along the parade route beginning at 1:30 p.m.
After the parade, the celebration will continue with Irish music and step-dancing on the Central Park Main Stage with performances by professional Irish dancer Sarah Costello, Tir Na Greine School of Irish Dance, Watters School of Irish Dancing, Finnegan Academy of Irish Dance and Michael Daly, Tenor.
