A 53-year-old Orlando man was struck and killed while he was walking his moped along the shoulder of a busy road.
The accident took place near the intersection of Orange Blossom Trail and Overland Road around 10:35 a.m. this morning. The man was walking his moped on the right shoulder of the southbound lanes of Orange Blossom Trail.
According to the FHP report, a 22-year-old Apopka man who was driving southbound in a ford pickup truck with an attached trailer, struck the man with the trailer.
The 53-year-old man later died at AdventHealth Hospital Apopka.
The names of the individuals involved in the accident have not been released, per FHP policy.
