Windermere man arrested for using cell camera to record up women’s dresses

A Windermere man was arrested for allegedly placing his cell phone at the bottom of shopping carts in order to record video under women’s dresses while they shopped for groceries.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office sex crimes detectives arrested 56-year-old John Mehalovich this week on charges of child pornography, video vouyerism, stalking and battery.

According to an OCSO social media post, on several occasions, Mehalovich used his cell phone camera to record video under women’s dresses by placing the camera at the bottom of a grocery cart and following the women around while they shopped.

During the investigation, OCSO detectives say they found images of violent sexual acts against children on Mehalovich’s phone.

Detectives are continuing to investigate and want to know if there may be other victims. Anyone with information is asked to call 407-836-4357.
