A bicyclist was killed after he was struck by a vehicle on Orange Blossom Trail last night.
The bicyclist, a 47-year-old man from Brooksville, was traveling east across the southbound lanes of the roadway, near its intersection with Mary Louis Lane around 11:20 p.m.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, a vehicle that was traveling southbound on the highway had to swerve to avoid hitting the cyclist. A second vehicle, a sedan being driven by a 17-year-old Kissimmee male, was unable to correct in time.
