The Florida Department of Health in Orange County is hoping to raise awareness about health disparities that impact racial and ethnic minority populations in the community by celebrating National Minority Health Month this April.
Celebrated every year in April, the theme of this year’s celebrations is Give Your Community a Boost. To commemorate the month, DOH-Orange will host the O-Town Spring Fest on April 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lorna Doone Park, which is located at 1519 West Church Street in Orlando.
The event will offer COVID-19 vaccines, health screenings, health information, live music, food trucks, workshops, and a kids zone, among other festivities.
For information on the O-Town Fest, contact DOH-Orange’s Community Health program at 407-858-1461. Learn more by visiting the National Minority Health Month website.
