Afropop band performing at Orlando Public Library

A local Afropop group will perform at a local library as part of Orange County government’s in-person music series.

Wassalou, which is billed as the only band of its kind in Florida, will perform at the Orlando Public Library on Saturday, April 9 at 3 p.m.

The band combines language and colorful, traditional costumes to bring a dancing, singing performance “straight out of Africa,” according to an event listing.

The library is located at 101 E Central Boulevard. For more information or to register for the event, visit the In-Person: Music in the Library – Wassalou event page.
