A driver was killed after being ejected and run over on State Road 528 early this morning.
According to a press release from the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident took place around 4:30 a.m. near mile marker 2 on the highway.
While traveling eastbound on SR 528, the driver of a 2010 Honda lost control of the vehicle and struck the guardrail.
The Honda overturned, ejecting the driver into the travel lanes.
A 50-year-old Kissimmee man that was driving a 2011 Ford SUV was unable to avoid the driver who was laying in the lanes and ran over his body.
The driver was pronounced deceased on the scene.
It remains under investigation as to whether any other vehicles ran over the driver while he was in the road, according to the FHP report.
The identity of the driver has not been released, per FHP policy.
Anyone who was traveling eastbound on SR 528 at approximately 4:30 a.m. and thinks they may have run over something, should contact FHP at 407-737-2213.
