Winter Park hosting household hazardous waste dropoff on Saturday

Winter Park will host a household hazardous waste dropoff day this weekend.

The city will host the dropoff event on Saturday, April 23, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. near Palmetto Avenue and Denning Drive in Winter Park.

According to city officials, attendees should enter Palmetto Avenue, which will have one-way traffic, from Harmon Avenue, with Cypress Avenue remaining closed from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those traveling through Orange and Minnesota Avenues will experience some congestion.
