Woman riding as passenger on motorcycle ejected, killed on Lake Mary Boulevard

A 39-year-old Sanford woman who was riding as a passenger on a motorcycle was ejected and killed early this morning along Lake Mary Boulevard.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident took place around 2:40 a.m. early Saturday morning. The motorcycle, which was being driven by a 33-year-old Deltona man, was traveling northbound on E Lake Mary Boulevard.

For unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn. The man and woman were both ejected from the motorcycle.

The woman was pronounced deceased on the scene and the driver was transported to a hospital in serious condition.
