Grand Avenue Neighborhood Center is now open to the community.
The new neighborhood center hosted a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony on Wednesday morning. Multiple Orlando officials, including Mayor Buddy Dyer and a collection of Orlando City Council commissioners (Regina Hill, Tony Ortiz, Bakari Burns and Patty Shehan) were on hand for the new facility.
Formerly the Grand Avenue Elementary School, the renovated center is located at 800 Grand Avenue in the Holden Heights community, features a gymnasium, and is the new home of the Orlando Pottery Studio.
The city will host an open house for the Grand Avenue Neighborhood Center on Saturday, April 30.
