Gator exits Lake Jesup, causes traffic jam on SR 417

An alligator that left Lake Jesup to take a stroll along State Road 417 caused a traffic jam on Wednesday morning.

According to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, the alligator entered the northbound side of the highway and created a traffic backup.

The gator was estimated to be around eleven feet in length, according to SCSO.
