A man wanted in connection with two separate robberies at Winter Park banks was apprehended with assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
According to a press release from the Winter Park Police Department, 28-year-old Latavis Deyonta MacKroy was arrested on Tuesday, April 26 after he was positively identified on the day prior.
MacKroy was allegedly videotaped entering a Fairwinds Credit Union on April 16, and a TD Bank located at 810 N Orlando Avenue on April 23. In both incidents, MacKroy walked in wearing a mask and approached the teller at the front counter.
MacKroy was remanded to federal custody for violation of probation and is awaiting multiple federal charges regarding the bank robberies, according to authorities.
