Orlando, Oviedo, Kissimmee police departments among those hiring

Multiple local police departments are hiring across the board, with one hosting a career fair this week.

The Orlando, Oviedo, and Kissimmee police departments are among those across the tri-county area that have recently solicited the public to apply for employment.

The Orlando Police Department will host a career fair on Saturday, May 21 at the Orlando Police Headquarters, which is located at 1250 W South Street.

Representatives from a variety of fields will be on hand to meet with anyone interested in the following professions: police officers, community service officers, emergency communications specialists, crime analysts, support staff, internships, and volunteers.

The Oviedo Police Department is looking to hire full-time police officers with pay ranging from $47,277 to $52,0004, including $15,000 in benefits. The department is also offering new-hire recruitment bonuses from $3,000 to $10,000.
