One dead in fatal crash on John Young Parkway

Orlando Police say one person has died and another has been transported to the hospital as a result of a traffic accident on John Young Parkway this afternoon.

According to a tweet from the Orlando Police Department, officers are on the scene of a crash that took place at the intersection of John Young Parkway and Shader Road.

Westbound Shader is currently blocked at Orange Blossom Trail and northbound John Young Parkway is blocked at Silver Star.

The second person was transported to the hospital by the Orlando Fire Department and was in stable condition as of this afternoon.

Police are still investigating the crash and will provide more updates as follows.
