Albert Gerald Franchio II

Albert G. Franchio, II, age 56, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022.

Albert was born on February 6, 1966 in Bitburg, Germany; son of the late Albert G. Franchio, Sr. and Antonia M. Franchio.

He retired from the U.S. Air Force Reserve in 2011 after 21 years of honorable service on both active and reserve duty and serving in the Gulf War. He went on to a career with the Orlando VA Healthcare System for more than 10 years.

Albert is survived by his wife Courtney (Hurtt) Franchio, his daughters Sydney and Chloe; his sister, Jennifer Franchio and nephew Floyd Tasaka, Jr., both of Leesburg, GA; and his in-laws Ronny and Maureen Moore of Newberry, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Joseph Franchio.

Inurnment with full military honors will be at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US-1, Mims, FL 32754 on May 27, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. Family and friends are also invited to celebrate his life that evening between 5-7:30 p.m. at the Avalon Park South Village Club House, 4033 Cleary Way, Orlando, FL 32828.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Orlando VA Medical Center, (with Community Living Center noted in the memo line), 13800 Veterans Way, Attn: Voluntary Services, Orlando, FL 32827 or to the Orlando Fisher House, 13800 Veterans Way, Attn: Fisher House Manager, Orlando, FL 32827.
