Black Rifle Coffee Company building first Orlando-area location

The Black Riffle Coffee Company is seeking to build its first brick and mortar location in the Orlando area later this year.

The company, which is based out of Salt Lake City, Utah, announced plans for its newest location on Wednesday, May 18. According to construction records, the business is currently seeking plan approval for a site in Oviedo.

If approved, that site will house a new, one-story building that will be equipped with a drive-thru.

Founded in 2014, Black Rifle Coffee Company is owned by former members of the United States armed forces. The company gained national attention when in 2017, it announced that it would pledge to hire 10,000 veterans. To date, the company currently employs approximately 225 veterans, according to internet records.

Currently, the popular online retail extension of the company has seen success through a digital subscription service, which had over 100,000 subscribers as of 2020, according to the company. In addition to online sales, Black Rifle Coffee Company currently operates multiple brick-and-mortar locations in Georgia, Texas, Utah, and Canada.
