An Orlando man claimed a $5 million prize from the Florida Lottery for a scratch-off ticket he purchased earlier this year.
According to the Florida Lottery, 30-year-old Herbert Harris, Jr. the $5 million top prize from the GOLD RUSH LIMITED Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee this week.
Harris purchased his winning ticket from Right Way Food Store, located at 6700 North Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $3,960,000.
The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket. According to lottery officials, $20 scratch-off GOLD RUSH LIMITED game launched in September 2021 and features 32 top prizes of $5 million and 100 prizes of $1 million.
