Frances P Gordon

Frances Padgett Gordon, born in Chattooga County, Georgia and a long-time resident of Orlando, Florida, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at the age of 93. She is pre-deceased by her husband, George Edd Gordon, with whom she operated Gordon’s Leasing and Transport out of Orlando. She was a member of Delaney St. Baptist Church and spent many years following retirement working at their Pre-school. Frances loved gardening and was a volunteer at Harry P. Leu Gardens for many years. Survivors include her sister Nelda Gayler Smith, sister-in-law Martha Sue Speer, daughters Dianne (Mac) Gifford and Gwen (Jim) O’Sullivan, son Edd (Becky) Gordon, grandchildren Heather (Ritchard) Baus, Heath (Amanda) Gifford, Mindy (Randall) Gilbert, Edd Gordon, Jr., Katie (Brent) Wainscott, Kelci and Ryan Mauldin, and her wonderful great-grandchildren and great-great grandchild.

Graveside services to be held June 18th at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Gore, Georgia, her childhood church and where she and George Edd were married. Now they will be together again. Interment by Rainwater Funeral Home, Summerville Georgia.
