Police are searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run accident that claimed the life of a 39-year-old Kissimmee woman.
The incident took place on Friday, May 13 near the intersection of Vineland Road and Kyngs Heath Road. Authorities say the woman was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
The woman’s body came to rest on the outside grass shoulder of Vineland Road and was located around 7:05 a.m., when she was transported as a trauma alert with life threatening injuries to Osceola Regional Hospital. She has since died of her injuries.
Detectives say that new gas station surveillance video suggests the time of the collision was at approximately 5:36 a.m. The video shows the suspect reverse into the gas station parking lot in what appears to be a Honda CRV between the years of 2012 and 2016. Police say the vehicle could possibly be missing the passenger side mirror.
