Sanford Police looking for suspect that assaulted gas station clerk with energy drink

Sanford Police Department is looking for the public’s help to identify a man who recently assaulted a gas station clerk with an energy drink.

According to the department, on Sunday, May 8, the subject in the following photo entered the RaceTrac gas station located at 3760 S Orlando Drive.

The suspect left the store, reentered the store, grabbed a 5-hour Energy Drink and threw it at the clerk, hitting the clerk in the arm.

According to police, the suspect then left the scene as a passenger in a red car with front end damage.
