Charles Lane Farson

Charles Lane Farson (95), passed into the eternal presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 24, 2022.

Chuck was born in Akron, Ohio on October 11, 1926, and served his country in the United States Navy during World War II in the South Pacific. While in the Navy, Chuck made many trips to Hawaii stationed aboard the USS Pointe Cruz (CVE119) aircraft carrier bringing Marine troops home safely. One of those trips was after the Pearl Harbor bombing. Chuck was awarded the Victory Medal, the American Area Campaign Medal, the Asiatic- Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Veterans Medal from the State of Florida. Chuck was a true Patriot and a son of the Greatest Generation. Chuck is survived by his wife Mary Jo Farson of Orlando, Florida whom he was married to for 63 years; his daughter Linda Farson, and daughter Nancy Conover.

Chuck will be laid to rest with full military honors in a private family ceremony on June 3, 2022, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
