Teenager identified in possible drive-by shooting death in Pine Hills

Authorities have identified a 19-year-old woman that was shot and killed in a possible drive-by shooting in the Pine Hills community early Wednesday morning.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Raniyah A’shanti Gandy was shot and killed on Wednesday morning by suspects that they believe “fired from a vehicle” before fleeing the scene in the 3000 block of North Powers Drive.

Deputies found Gandy at around 3:13 a.m. and she was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

“We are hoping to have some additional information about suspects and/or suspect vehicle later today,” reads an OCSO press release.
