Hector Noel Garcia

Hector N. Garcia, 77, of Orlando, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 24th. Hector was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico to Domingo and Antolina Garcia. He moved to New York as a boy, where he was raised as an only child. As a teen, he loved school and running track and field. In June of 1963, he joined the United States Air Force, where he would dedicate 30 years of his life to military service. Upon his retirement from the Armed Forces, Hector went on to work for the Palm Beach County School Board for 7 years followed by the Orange County School Board for 8 years.

During his service and in his travels abroad to Thailand, he met and married Khuan T. Hermhurg. They were married for 54 years and shared 4 children together. After his retirement in 2008, spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, became his favorite past time.

In addition to his wife, Khuan, and daughters Siriwan (Michael), Linda and Susie (Paul), Hector is survived by his grandchildren Marcilas, Malik, Michal, Mariska and Ian, and great grandchildren Marhianna, Jace and Ahnalee. He was preceded in passing by his only son Philip, mother Antolina and father Domingo.

The funeral service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida on Saturday, June 4th, at 10am. There will be visitation at the same location on Friday, June 3rd, from 6pm to 8pm.
