Charlie Lee Starker

Mrs. Charlie Lee Williams Starker was born on August 7, 1926, in Apopka, Florida. She was the youngest child born to Asrue and Charlie Williams.

Charlie was a lifelong resident of the Apopka/Orlando area. She attended Orange County Public Schools. In the early 1960’s Charlie worked with children at Lake Mann Day Care Center until her youngest daughter graduated from the Center. Afterward, she began a center as a nurse’s aide at Holiday Hospital. She continued working even after it merged with Orange Memorial Hospital, which later became Orlando Reginal Hospital. Charlie retired after over 25 years of service at Orlando Regional Hospital. Charlie received the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age. Later, she joined Orlando Community Baptist Church, where she attended regularly and served faithfully on the Pastor’s Aide Board as well as anywhere else, she was asked. She remained dedicated to her church until the end, while regretting that she couldn’t attend church in person because of her health. Charlie was proceeded in death by her Parents: Asrue and Charlie Williams; Three Siblings: Martha Seatts, Marie Orr, and Leroy Williams; Three Daughters: Jacquelyn Brown, Glenda Jean, and Daughter of Love: Mae Frances Harris.

Charlie leaves to cherish her loving memories to her three Daughters Marilyn Walters, Brenda Howard, Stephanie Davis (Stanley); One Daughter of Love: Nakia Starker; Two Sons of Love: Alonzo Harris II, Willie Frank Harris; A Special Friend: Evelyn Harris Starker; and a host of grandchildren, Great– Grandchildren, Great-Great-Grandchildren, Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, and family and friends who will miss her dearly.
