Jose Antonio Salcedo was born on February 11,1956 in NYC and passed away on May 30, 2022 in Kissimmee, FL. He was 66 years old.
He served in the US Army for 20 years ,first in the 82 Airborne Division & then after being in the delivery room for his daughter’s birth and watching the healthcare professionals, it impressed him to the point that he changed his MOS to nursing. During his career as a nurse in the military, he held several leadership roles to include being in charge of the Emergency Ward in Landstuhl, Germany and Nursing Education in Walter Reed Army Medical Center (now Walter Reed National Military Medical Center) in Washington D.C. (now located in Bethesda, MD). Upon retiring from the military, he continued his career as a nurse for Orlando Health. He took pride in his work as a nurse and was a patient advocate. He retired in 2020 right before the pandemic.
He had a winning personality, always making others laugh with his stories and jokes. The man loved to dance, especially Salsa. Whereas other men do not care for romcoms or reality shows, Tony was a big fan. He was into sports , especially football. He enjoyed going to the amusement parks, water parks being his favorite.
He loved his family dearly and was always there to give advice & support. This love & support always made them feel secure. He always had a smile on his face.
He is survived by his wife Alma, his daughter Venus Bolet,& his grandson
Carlos Bolet. Also his sister Ellie Cole, brothers in law William Hernandez & Lane Cole, his nephew Frank Laureano and niece Nicole Laureano.
He will be forever in our hearts ♥️
We will miss that smile.
