Anne Fagan

On June 6, 2022 Anne O’ Neill Fagan, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away at age 81. Anne was born in Dungarvan, County Waterford, Ireland, on July 27, 1940, and moved to the United States at the age of 20. She raised four children, Susan, Pamela, Eddie and David, while working as a waitress, studying to get her GED, and then earning a Surgical Tech vocational degree. With her degree Anne worked in surgery at Winter Park Hospital and Orlando Regional Medical Center for over 20 years.

Despite living in America for 6 decades, and getting her US citizenship in 1996, Anne remained Irish at heart. She kept her soft Irish brogue, welcoming nature, and gift of gab. She had a beautiful smile and laugh, and loved a good joke and witty conversation (or really any conversation). She was passionate about literature, the arts, and politics, and was an expert tailor and seamstress. She was seemingly always in the process of knitting an Irish sweater or hemming pants for a friend or relative.

Anne was predeceased in death by her six brothers and sisters and her son David. She is survived by her children Susan, Pamela and Eddie, her grandchildren Tyra, Ashley, Kell, Shea and Dev and her great grandchild Reiner as well as many nieces and nephews.

Anne will rest in peace at Glen Haven Memorial Cemetery in Winter Park, Florida.
