A man suspected of committing a bank robbery one day after he was released from jail from an eight-year stint was arrested after committing a second bank robbery in Orange County.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, 59-year-old Timothy Paul Jones was arrested on Thursday, June 9 by Kissimmee Police Department officers after he allegedly robbed another bank in their jurisdiction.
Jones was released from prison on Wednesday, June 1, after serving an eight-year sentence for bank robbery stemming from a case in 2013.
On June 2, Jones allegedly walked into the Truist Bank at 11200 S Orange Blossom Trail and robbed the bank before forcibly carjacking a vehicle and fleeing the scene.
Jones is being held on $25,000 bond and faces multiple charges, including robbery with threat of a weapon, carjacking, and grand theft, according to jail records.
