A 75-year-old Orlando man was killed after his vehicle crashed head-on into another vehicle while he was driving in the wrong direction on Goldenrod Road.
The incident took place just after 1 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, near the intersection of Goldenrod Road and Sun Vista Way, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
The man was driving a 2013 Toyota Tacoma southbound in the northbound, inside lane of Goldenrod Road when he struck a 2021 Toyota Highlander head-on. The driver of that vehicle, a 35-year-old Orlando man, was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
The elderly man was transported to the Florida East Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The crash remains under investigation, according to FHP.
