Roberta “Bobbie” Lytle 79, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2022 in Winter Park, Florida. Bobbie was born Nov. 13, 1942 to Brigadier General Robert Little Cook and Mary Lauer Cook in Omaha, Nebraska.
She graduated from Winter Park High School in 1960 and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Education from The Univ of Central Florida.
After graduating high school, she moved to Fort Benning, GA to be a nurses aid. During that time she met Major Charles Edward Lytle and married in 1966. They moved to Maitland, FL. in 1974 to Dommerich Estates. Bobbie began her lifetime career as an elementary school teacher, teaching primarily second grade at Dommerich and Brookshire Elementary, retiring in 2007. Apart from her dedication to teaching, Bobbie enjoyed spending time with her family and granddaughter, Kinsley, walking her dogs, rowing crew, race walking and enjoying time with her many wonderful friends. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Colonial Dames, Winter Park Junior League and a devout member of All Saints Church in Winter Park.
Bobbie is survived by her daughters, Mary Evelyn Lytle (Dave Barszcz); Tiffany Ann Lytle (DeForest Davis); granddaughter, Kinsley; sister Mary Jeanie Wheeless, best friend since the 8th grade Weezie Mullenix (Col. Ronald Mullenix), godsons Matthew and Philip Mullenix, cousin John Zoz, and many, many wonderful friends.
Memorial services will take place at All Saints Church of Winter Park at 10am on Wed. June 29th, 338 E. Lyman Ave Winter Park, Fl. Please dress in a pretty color that Bobbie would have liked to see you wear.
