Barbara Jean Schoening

Barbara Jean Schoening, 83, died Friday, June 3rd after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Barbara grew up in Murfreesboro, TN and then attended The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY before settling into Griffin, GA to raise her family. She moved to the Central Florida area to pursue a new career in 1987 and soon after met her late husband, Roger Schoening, Sr. Barbara was an active member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Mrs. Schoening had a beautiful singing voice, a passion for music and deep connection with the Lord. She enjoyed gardening, singing, laughter and her children. She was a proud mother. Survivors include her three sons, Stephen Nall (daughter-in-law, Erika Nall), Winter Springs, and David Nall, Bangkok, Thailand, Roger Schoening; a daughter, Barbara Schoening, (Kevin Stange), Lake Mary; and two grandchildren Amanda Schoening, Winter Garden and Christopher Schoening, Winter Park; and several nieces and nephews.
