Four men were arrested by Longwood Police after they allegedly burglarized and attempted to steal cars from a local auto auction facility.
According to the Longwood Police Department, on Sunday, June 19, at around 5:20 a.m., officers responded to 650 North State Road 600 after receiving a call from a security company regarding a burglary in progress at the AutoNation Auto Auction, located at 650 US Hwy 17-92 in Longwood.
The security company advised that the suspects were burglarizing vehicles and attempting to steal several of them.
Upon arrival, officers set up a perimeter and located three suspects walking from the business and a fourth suspect running away from the business.
Officers from the Winter Springs Police Department and a helicopter from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area to assist, eventually helping capture the fourth suspect.
The four suspects were identified as 19-year-old Keyaurus Gibson, 19-year-old Naquan Williams, 20-year-old Timothy Chiles, Jr., and 21-year-old Treyon Perkins.
The suspects were charged with multiple offenses, including burglary, attempted grand theft auto, possession of cocaine, and organized theft, among others.
