Kissimmee woman ejected from UTV, run over in fatal dirt path accident

A 38-year-old Kissimmee woman was killed after she was ejected from her UTV while stopped on a private dirt path in Osceola County.

The incident took place on a private dirt path in the area of Five Oaks Drive and Harmony Square in Harmony Community Gardens at around 3:17 a.m. on Thursday, June 23.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, a 2015 GMC Sierra being driven by a 39-year-old Kissimmee man was traveling westbound on the dirt path, east of the intersection with Harmony Square Drive.

The UTV was stopped on the dirt path, facing west, when it was struck from behind by the Sierra. According to the driver of the Sierra, he failed to observe the stopped vehicle in the dirt path.

After the collision, the woman was ejected from her vehicle and subsequently run over by the Sierra. She was transported to a nearby hospital and was later pronounced deceased.

The driver of the Sierra was not injured in the incident.

The identity of the deceased woman has not been released to the public, per FHP policy.
