The Orlando Police Department has released video showing the moments in which a Winter Park man in a stolen vehicle fired shots at OPD officers stopped in an unmarked vehicle at a stop sign.

On Friday, police released video of the May 25 incident that shows 36-year-old William Deleon Bullock of Winter Park slowing down in front of an unmarked police vehicle and firing shots at the driver and passenger.

The officers, who were stopped at the intersection of Jim Glenn Drive and Rose Avenue, were able to exit their vehicle. Body camera video from one of the officers shows that he was able to return fire through his passenger window.

After firing shots at the officers, Bullock is seen fleeing the scene while multiple law enforcement vehicles are in pursuit. He eventually abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot, before he was apprehended by a K-9 unit.

Bullock faces nearly a dozen charges including two counts of attempted murder on a law enforcement officer.

“It was an unmarked vehicle, the officers were still waiting for additional resources to arrive to do a proper takedown of the stolen car and the individual never gave them a chance,” said Orlando Police Chief Orlando Rolón during a press conference immediately after the incident.

The shooting was one of three on Orlando Police officers in a ten day span, and was just one week after a similar shooting in which an individual who was being pulled over for a traffic stop fired shots at Orlando Police officers on Mercy Drive. Police released video of that incident earlier this month.
