A man who spent 19 years behind bars for multiple bank robberies was arrested after allegedly robbing a bank in Belle Isle.
On Tuesday, Belle Isle Police Department officers arrested 54-year-old Nacoe Ray Brown for allegedly robbing the McCoy Federal Credit Union located at 1900 McCoy Road. According to police, at around 12:40 p.m., Brown entered the credit union and handed a teller a note demanding money and stating he had a gun.
Law enforcement authorities were notified and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and BIPD located Brown at a Comfort Suites next to the bank with his bags packed. Brown was preparing to leave the hotel when he was arrested by police.
Authorities say Brown served a 19-year prison sentence for multiple, violent bank robberies that he committed in the past.
