Phillip DiVirgilio, lovingly known as “Grump,” passed away on Monday, June 27th, 2022, at the Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, FL, at 90 years of age.
He was born in Kissimmee, FL, on October 30th, 1931, to parents Phillip and Minnie DiVirgilio. He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy DiVirgilio, son Francis DiVirgilio and wife Zita DiVirgilio, daughter Rita DiVirgilio Santiago and husband Jimmy Santiago, grandsons Joshua DiVirgilio and wife LaTisha DiVirgilio, Kyle Di Virgilio and wife Johanna Di Virgilio, Isaiah DiVirgilio, granddaughter Amy DiVirgilio and Isabella DiVirgilio, and great-grandson Brendyn Faulkner, Phillip DiVirgilio, Dominic Di Virgilio, and great-granddaughters Kiara Faulkner, Amya Faulkner, and Adrianna Di Virgilio.
Phillip served in the United States Army and retired from the U.S Postal Service. A man full of love, a big smile, and a shed full of tools. Grump was always willing to help a stranger or build a cabinet. He will be missed by all and carried on in the hearts of everyone who loved him.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 5th, 2022, at 10:00 am.
