An 81-year-old man who had been reported missing last week was found by local police laying in a retention pond.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, deputy Steven Jones found 81-year-old Daniel Waterhouse in a retention pond in west Orange County on Friday, July 1.
Waterhouse had gone missing on Thursday, June 30, around 2 p.m. near Holdenbury Lane and Branlea Lane, and those who know him were concerned that he left his residence without his medication.
Deputy Jones pulled Waterhouse from the water and several other OCSO deputies waited with him until the Orange County Fire Rescue could transport him to a nearby hospital, where he is currently recovering.
