Deacon Willie J. Daniels, Sr.

Deacon Willie J. Daniels, Sr., 77, of Orlando, transitioned from labor to reward on Thursday, June 30, 2022. Deacon Daniels was born on May 17, 1945 in Dothan, AL to the late Minnie Mae and R J Daniels.

Deacon Daniels served his country proudly in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1973 as a Sergeant. He and his beloved wife were founding members of The Apostolic Worship Center, Orlando. The motto Deacon Daniels carried with him, “if I can help somebody as I pass this way, then my living shall not be in vain” became a major tool he used to guide countless souls to the ever- open door of Christ. Gaining the love and respect from many, Deacon Daniels light became a strong, gravitational pillar for every community he served. He remained a faithful member until his health began to decline.

In his spare time, Deacon Daniels enjoyed playing the guitar, reading and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He was also a published author of 2 books. Deacon Daniels was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, Servant and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Deacon Daniels breathed his last breath and put on his new robe of glory on June 30th. His ministry and legacy will live on in the hearts of his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Daniels; beloved children, Willie (Barbara) Daniels, II, Ashanti Daniels, and Natasha (Brian) Daniels-Wiggins; sisters, Ruby (Johnathan) Wilson, Shirley Ann (Gene) Pompey; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and numerous friends. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 11:00AM until services begin at 1:00PM at The Apostolic Worship Center, 8001 Silver Star Road, Orlando with Bishop Frank Thompson, officiating.

Interment: Florida National VA Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
