Jerauld Whitman

Jerauld Whitman passed away peacefully at home on July 1, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. Jerry was born January 24, 1954, in Buffalo, NY to the late Edward and Geraldine (Sontag) Whitman. Jerry is survived by his wife Julie (Gervasi), cousins and long-lasting friends. In Jerry’s early years, his enjoyment of cars brought him to become a collision body shop owner & painter. Later, he worked for Darien Lake recreating and painting attractions. If you ever get to Darien Lake, you may be sitting on one of his jobs. Jerry’s love for fireworks drew him to become a pyrotechnic joining a club known as the WNY PA. He began working for the company Skylighters, LLC which gave him joy displaying and setting off firework shows for others to enjoy. Jerry also enjoyed RV traveling and camping with Julie. A memorial gathering will be held in St. Cloud Florida on July 16, 2022 from 12pm-3pm, refreshments to follow at the Whitman’s residence. A future memorial gathering will be held in Buffalo, NY on August 7, 2022 from 1pm-5pm at Pine Lounge located at 164 Clinton Street, Cowlesville, NY 14037
