Osceola County officials held a ground breaking ceremony for their newest fire station planned for the west side of the county.
On Thursday, Osceola County Fire Rescue and EMS Chief Larry Collier and his deputy chiefs celebrated the ground breaking for Station 45, which will be located near the intersection of U.S. Highway 192 and State Road 535.
Construction of the station is expected to be complete by next summer. The station is the second of three fire stations to be constructed this year in the county.
In May, officials broke ground at the new site of Station 67 on Boggy Creek Road.
