A new restaurant that serves up multicultural-inspired, fusion cuisine has opened its doors in west Orlando.
Mi Cocina by D.O.C., which is owned and operated by chef Danny Otero, opened its doors at 829 Good Homes Road in June.
The restaurant boasts dishes prepared from scratch with fresh ingredients that are all combinations of multiple types of cuisine.
The menu features power bowls, rice bowls, and pasta bowls that can be combined with a variety of proteins, including mojo pork, grilled chicken, steak, salmon, picadillo, shrimp, and tofu, among others.
All of Otero’s dishes are prepared to order, including his popular Chinchorreo Bowl, which features marinated, grilled chicken in a pincho style over a bed of Jasmine cilantro rice.
The restaurant also offers a variety of sides and desserts all made from scratch, including cauliflower mac and cheese, and Chef Danny’s famous Coquito bread pudding, which comes topped with ice cream.
Mi Cocina is open Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
