A 19-year-old man is facing an attempted murder charge in the shooting death of Alejandro Armando Guzman.
Safari Rodriguez was arrested late last month in connection with the death of Guzman, who he allegedly shot and killed earlier this summer.
The shooting took place on Saint Tropez Court in Kissimmee on June 3. When deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered Guzman’s body. He was pronounced deceased on the scene. Police say that other victims were also injured in the shooting, but that all of them survived.
Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes detectives identified Rodriguez as a person of interest and on June 29, the Bay County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshal’s Service arrested Rodriguez on an active warrant for attempted murder. On July 8, those charges were upped to premeditated murder and aggravated assault with a firearm.
Rodriguez is currently incarcerated in the Osceola County Department of Corrections with no bond.
