Marilyn Shopsin Norvitz, 92, of Maitland, Florida passed away July 13th, 2022 in her home Surrounded by her family.
Marilyn was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 28th, 1929. She married Carl Burton Norvitz in 1950, they raised their three children in Orange, Connecticut, and relocated to Maitland, Florida in 1973.
Marilyn was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing, her animals, music, old movies, sports, travel, and attending events for her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Burton Norvitz, and her son, Seth Allen Norvitz.
She is survived by her sister, Claire Faiman of New Haven, Connecticut, her son Lee Ellis Norvitz, of Homestead, Florida, her daughter Sandra Burch and her son-in-law, Michael Burch of Winter Park, Florida. Her grandchildren; Rebecca Diaz, Nicole Norvitz, Dara Bonavia, Dana Burch, Cory Burch, Jessica Norvitz, Malissa Norvitz, Samantha Norvitz, Sabrina Norvitz. Her Great-Granddaughter, Mya Ivanor, her 19 other great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by her nephews, Scott Franzman, Kerry Franzman, Tad Franzman, and her niece, Susan White.
A graveside service for Marilyn will be held Monday, July 18, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 Temple Dr. Winter Park, FL 32789.
