Health food inspector

A buffet in Sanford was forced to temporarily close its doors for consecutive days after an inspector cited dozens of food health code violations.

Ichigo Ichie Buffet, which is located at 3611 S Orlando Drive in Sanford, was closed on Wednesday, July 13 and again on Thursday, July 14 after a food health inspector from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation cited 46 violations over two separate inspections.

During the first inspection on Wednesday, among the high priority violations was the presence of roach activity. The inspector found live and dead roaches around the premises, and issued a stop sale on multiple items that were not being held at the proper temperature.

During the second inspection on Thursday, an additional 22 violations were cited, including multiple items once again not held at the appropriate temperature. The restaurant was not permitted to open until a third inspection was conducted and only 10 violations remained.
