A 36-year-old Orlando man was ejected from his pickup truck and killed after his vehicle left the roadway and struck multiple trees.
The incident took place around 8:29 p.m. on Thursday, July 21 near the intersection of East Colonial Drive and State Road 520.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a 2006 Ford F-150 westbound on Colonial Drive, just east of State Road 520 on the inside lane. For unknown reasons, the man lost control of the vehicle and entered the grass media. The man overcorrected and traveled across the westbound lanes, running off the roadway and colliding with multiple trees before being ejected into the wood line.
He was pronounced deceased on the scene.
