Delores B. Koop, age 92, of Sanford, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022. Mrs. Koop was born July 26, 1929 in Muskegon, Michigan to Edward and Edith Bleich.
She moved to Sanford in 1996. Along with her husband, Pastor Abraham Koop, who preceded her in death in 2002, Mrs. Koop spent her working life as a missionary with New Tribes Mission. They worked together for 45 years on the mission field in Brazil. She later attended Central Church, Sanford.
Mrs. Koop is survived by her sons, Phil (Ellen) Koop of Arizona, Bruce Koop of Alpharetta, GA, Donald (Ruth) Koop of Lawrenceville, GA; daughter, Sharon (Duff) Gustafson of Flowery Branch, GA; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service for Mrs. Koop will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Ethnos360, formerly New Tribes Mission, located at 78 Mission Blvd., Sanford.
